Talk to any doctor about tinnitus – ringing in the ears – and you’re likely to hear those fateful words: “there is no cure”. There’s nothing you can do for your tinnitus except learn to manage and cope with it – learn to tune it out. Why, then, are companies marketing specific herbal remedies for this common condition? What is the link between ginkgo biloba and tinnitus?

What Is Ginkgo Biloba?

Ginkgo biloba herbal remedies are taken from the tree of the same name. This extract has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine, and is commonly used in the Western world to enhance blood flow through the body. As such, it is used to treat or prevent a number of conditions related to the brain, including memory loss, Alzheimer’s and dementia. It’s also commonly used by tinnitus sufferers.

Has The Link Between Ginkgo Biloba And Tinnitus Been Proven?

As with many herbal treatments, more studies are needed to prove the link between ginkgo biloba and tinnitus. There have been some studies into its effects, however, which seem to suggest that it works no better than a placebo. The British Tinnitus Association (BTA), for example, found no noticeable effects on a study of 2000 tinnitus sufferers.

Should You Take It?

Despite the fact that studies suggest that ginkgo as ineffective as a treatment for tinnitus, it’s not quite that simple. For one, many people swear by the remedy in helping to improve the symptoms. The BTA also claim that it has helped to improve general wellbeing in a number of patients which, in turn, has left them in a better state to manage and deal with their tinnitus psychologically.

Keeping yourself well, both in body and mind, it essential to fighting tinnitus. The more run down you get, the more likely it is that you’ll focus on the ringing and the detrimental effect it has on your life. Staying healthy, through the use of safe natural supplements such as ginkgo biloba, is useful for keeping your tinnitus under control.

You should always check with a doctor before using any form of herbal supplement, as even natural treatments come with side effects and may interact with other medicine. That said, the main drawback of ginkgo biloba is the cost. Most tinnitus organizations recommend you try it if you can afford it; if you find it helps in any way, then keep using it to manage your tinnitus.

Help for tinnitus is extremely important. After all, it’s a condition that’s very hard to understand, yet so many people suffer from. The good news is that help is available in so many ways.

Your Doctor

The first step to finding help for tinnitus has always got to be to speak to a doctor. After all, tinnitus can have a number of causes and you want to make sure that it’s not down to an underlying medical condition. If it is, you’ll need treatment for that condition. However, in many cases there is no underlying cause. Many doctors will say you just have to life with it, but this isn’t true if you keep trying.

Help Yourself

Next, you should try some of the most basic lifestyle changes that can help alleviate the symptoms. For example, alcohol is known to make the ringing worse, as well as being around loud noises. You should also try a number of relaxation methods, and stress is also a known trigger for the sounds.

Go Further

When a doctor has told you that there’s nothing you can do you should never give up. Why? Because so many sufferers have been able to cure the ringing in their ears naturally. It all comes down to the way in which your brain perceives the noise, and you can retrain it to make it think that the noise is insignificant. This will take time, but it will make a huge difference to your life.

Help for tinnitus comes in a number of different forms, and the same thing may not always work for every person. The best guide I have found is Tinnitus Miracle, a completely natural step by step treatment program that makes sure you find the treatment that works for you.

If you’re experiencing a constant ringing in the ears, this is often down to a condition known as tinnitus. Unfortunately, tinnitus can have a huge range of causes. Sometimes it may occur due to an underlying medical condition, and in other cases there may be no obvious reason or treatment available.

Constant ringing in the ears can be difficult to cope with, especially if your doctor has told you there’s nothing he can do (though he isn’t strictly right!) or if the treatments you’ve tried haven’t had any real effect so far.

There are methods you can use to help you get through the negative feelings that you go through as a result of suffering with tinnitus. These include:

Counselling: Going to a therapist can help you to deal with the feelings of tinnitus. It’ll also eventually help you to learn more about your condition, how it makes you feel bad, and what you can do to deal with the symptoms. If you get tinnitus as a result of anxiety and depression, the counselling can also help with these issues.

Support Groups: There are a number of different tinnitus support groups available. It’s useful to look into these as not only do they help put you in touch with others who go through the same feelings as you, but they also provide much information on the condition.

A constant ringing in the ears isn’t pleasant, so make use of all the outlets available to help you deal with it. When you’re ready, try taking matters into your own hands. Most people have the greatest success when they make use of natural and lifestyle options such as those taught by the amazing Tinnitus Miracle guide.

Knowing how to cure tinnitus can be difficult, as it’s an extremely complex condition. However, the good news is that there are ways to manage the condition. Although doctors may tell you that you just need to learn to live with the ringing, this simply isn’t true! You can cure it if you work hard on a number of natural methods.

Before you start trying to find out how to cure tinnitus naturally, I want to emphasise how important it is to visit a doctor. This is simply to rule out the fact that your tinnitus may have been caused by an underlying medical condition that you may need to treat first. Now, onto some natural cures.

Using Sounds

Many people who suffer from tinnitus make use of background sounds to help distract them from the ringing. For example, many people go to sleep every night with the radio on to ensure that they aren’t focused on the ringing sound. Many people also make use of “white noise” which not only distracts from the ringing, but can also help you to retrain your brain to eventually tune out the noise altogether.

Hearing Aid

Depending on your particular circumstances, some people who suffer from tinnitus make use of a hearing aid to make the external sounds louder than the inner ringing that they can hear.

Manage Stress

Although this may not seem like a real cure, the truth is that many sufferers of tinnitus find that the sound is much more noticeable when they are stressed. There are many things you can do to help you manage stress better, such as using therapies such as meditation or yoga, or even counselling if there are issues in your life that you need to work through.

Knowing how to cure tinnitus is never easy, which is why I recommend you use a proven guide such as Tinnitus Miracle. This relies on completely natural exercises and methods that have helped hundreds of people to stop the ringing for good.

The causes of ringing in the ears are extremely varied, and aren’t always simple to understand. Firstly, ringing in the ears can mean a number of things, including a hissing sound, a buzzing, whistling, roaring or rushing sound. In fact, it can include a wide range of different sounds – all of which tend to have a negative effect on the life of the sufferer.

The Causes of Ringing in the Ears

There are a number of causes of this ringing sound, a condition known as tinnitus, but three of which are the most common. These are:

1) Exposure to Load Noise: If you are often exposed to loud noises then this can cause the ringing sound. Loud noises can do damage to your hearing. For example, if you’ve been to a loud concert then you might get back to experience tinnitus temporarily. Or if you have heard an explosion then this could cause hearing loss or ringing. The more exposure you get, the worse the results are likely to be.

2) Stress: Stress can cause a number of different health problems, including your ears to ring. Your body responds negatively to what it is experiencing, so it’s important to learn ways to managing or avoiding stress if at all possible.

3) Sinus Problems: One very common cause of ringing in the ears is a problem with your sinuses. This could be related to allergies and the build up of infections. If you know that this is the cause, then you can take steps to treat it.

No matter what has caused your tinnitus, there are self help strategies you can take to stop it for good. I recommend Tinnitus Miracle as the best natural treatment option.

Ringing in ears symptom can differ from person to person, as well as the severity of the noises. Some people find that they are more sensitive to normal sounds than others. Here is a quick guide to what you might experience if you have tinnitus.

The Types of Tinnitus

A type of tinnitus known as Pulsatile tinnitus means that you have rhythmical noises beating at the same rate as your heart – the cause of this is likely to be high blood pressure or glue ear.

If you hear a low frequency noise, that you feel is coming from an external source, then you should first check the possibility that it is just an external source – for example by asking the neighbours if they can hear it too. If you are suffering from tinnitus then you may find that the noise is more noticeable in certain situations.

Sometimes, tinnitus is related to posture, and when you turn your head you could hear a noise.

Musical Hallucinations

Its common for long term sufferers to develop musical hallucinations, although these can sometimes also be brought on by drugs.

If you want to know more about the type of tinnitus you have then it’s important to visit your doctor for an official diagnosis. Symptoms may often be confused with outside noises or other conditions. However, if you definitely do have the ringing in the ears symptoms then using a technique such as Tinnitus Miracle could help you to get rid of them for good.

There are a number of reasons why you might experience ringing in ears, and for this reason treatment of tinnitus isn’t always straightforward. The treatment you will get depends on whether it has an underlying cause or not. Most treatments are aimed at managing the condition, though there is no definitive cure. Here is a quick guide to the variety of treatments available.

Sound Therapy

Many people notice their tinnitus the most when things around them are quiet, which is why the sound therapy treatment of tinnitus works on filling the silence with noise that distracts from tinnitus. Many people will simply keep the television or radio on in the background, and others might listen to relaxing sounds or white noise.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive behavioural therapy, CBT, is a therapy that is usually used for problems like post traumatic stress, anxiety and depression. The training revolves around the idea that our thoughts affect our behaviours. In the case of tinnitus, this might mean finding beliefs that make you stressed and reducing them, which could impact your tinnitus.

Counselling

Counselling is generally used to help patients learn more about their tinnitus. You’ll talk through any problems with a counsellor, and how the tinnitus makes you feel, which could help you to understand it better and manage it better as a result.

Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT)

This technique makes use of sound therapy and counselling to help people how to manage the condition better. This treatment for tinnitus can help to retrain the way your brain thinks of the tinnitus sound. Eventually the aim is to tune it out. This treatment should only be carried out by professionals, but there are other treatments you can use yourself as a cure, such as the Tinnitus Miracle guide.

If you’ve been experiencing a high pitched ringing in ears, then it’s important to understand why it’s happening.

Do you notice it happening in certain situations? Or when you’re stressed? Have you recently been exposed to a loud noise, such as an explosion? Or it could even be down to an underlying medical condition. Whatever it is, it could be the case that you’re suffering from tinnitus, and it’s time to get an official medical diagnosis.

Tinnitus causes a high pitched ringing in ears, and comes in two forms:

Vibratory Tinnitus – This is the mildest form of the condition, and happens due to muscle contractions in the ear, as well as issues with the way that the blood flows to the inner ears. You can eliminate this form of tinnitus with treatment.

Non-Vibratory Tinnitus – This kind of tinnitus can happen due to a number of problems with the muscles, blood flow and workings of the inner ears. This can lead to Pulsatile Tinnitus which has the potential to cause more serious damage if left untreated.

Treating the Condition

You’re going t have to get an official diagnosis from a doctor before you can begin treatment. However, once you have this, you can start treating it yourself, using a combination of lifestyle changes and exercises that can help train your brain to tune out the noise. Although it may seem as though there is no hope, thousands of sufferers have ended the ringing and got their life back to normal.

It is possible to permanently eliminate the high pitched ringing in ears within a period of just two months by following a holistic system such as Tinnitus Miracle. Just don’t give up!

It’s important to note that there is no known cure, but this method simply retrains your brain to tune out the noise.

The History of TRT

Tinnitus Retraining Therapy was first developed in the 1980s by Dr Pawel Jastreboff. He worked with many individuals with tinnitus who realised that the actual sound wasn’t what caused the unpleasant problems, but it was the way the sound was perceived was an the problem and, in some cases, the sounds had no effect on people at all.

More About the Therapy

Just about everybody lives with some sort of constant noise in their life. This could be the hum of the refrigerator, or it could be building work outside. The nervous system of people means that we don’t usually think about the noises too much, and we don’t even notice them. This is the basis for TRT.

Jastreboff believes that the central nervous system can be retrained, by removing negative associations with the noise of tinnitus, and by making people constantly aware of the noise during the training sessions. The main problem is not the noise, but in the silence between the noise. TRT works by transmitting sounds into the ear during these silences to make sure the person starts to look at the sound less negatively.

This kind of therapy is not fast, lasting for around two years, though it has shown some great results. If you want to take action to get the same sort of results with your own tinnitus, but faster than Tinnitus Retraining Therapy, then I recommend you take a look at Tinnitus Miracle for completely natural cures.
